Functionality
Both editions offer the same WCF-Xtensions classes.
Additionally, both editions also offer all the classes of FastInfoset.NET and
DotNetGZip.
Supported frameworks
Both editions include:
- WCF-Xtensions assemblies for .NET Framework 3.0
- FastInfoset.NET assemblies for .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0
- FastInfoset.NET assemblies for .NET Compact Framework 2.0
- DotNetGZip assemblies for .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0
- DotNetGZip assemblies for .NET Compact Framework 2.0
Royalty-free distribution
You may include the WCF-Xtensions redistributable assemblies in your end-user applications without paying
per server, per client or any other type of runtime fees.
Royalty-free distribution is available with both editions. The "Redistributables" section of the
license contains the legal details. If you

Full source code
The Enterprise edition includes a Visual Studio project with the full source code of
WCF-Xtensions, FastInfoset.NET and DotNetGZip.
This helps you understand how it is implemented so that you can make better use of it in your applications,
enables you to debug easier your applications, and provides business continuity assurance without the need for
an escrow service.
Code embedding
Having the ability to embed the code of WCF-Xtensions into your own code offers significant additional benefits.
It enables you to:
- Reduce the number of assemblies and reduce the total loading time.
- Sign all assemblies with your own keys.
- Hide the use of WCF-Xtensions.
- Permit your end user to further redistribute your software.
Code embedding is available only with a Site License for the Enterprise edition. The "Embedded Code" section of the
license contains the legal details. If you

Initial subscription duration
Both editions include an initial subscription at no extra cost. The type and
duration of the services offered by the initial subscription
depends on the edition:

Update protection
Update Protection entitles you to freely download the latest version of WCF-Xtensions during the term of your
subscription, including minor updates and major upgrades.

Whether you need assistance in using WCF-Xtensions, want to report a problem or would like to suggest new functionality, Premium Support is there
for you.
Premium Support offers technical support for an unlimited number of issues. Requests are submitted online.

Licensing
WCF-Xtensions is licensed on a per developer basis. A license must be obtained for every developer that will be
installing WCF-Xtensions or that will be referencing, linking or otherwise using its assemblies in any way.
There are four
types of licenses for each edition:
- Single license
For use by one developer on up to two computers.
- Team license
Suitable for teams of up to four developers working on up to four computers.
- Site license
Convenient and cost effective licensing covering all developers at a single building.
- Global license
Custom license that fits the needs of your entire organization.

12-month subscription renewals
A Subscription Renewal extends your subscription to a product for a further twelve months. The type of services
offered by the Subscription Renewal depends on the edition:
The starting date of the new subscription will be the expiration date of the previous subscription being renewed. A separate Subscription Renewal is needed for each license that you own. Please ensure
that you select a Subscription Renewal for the same product and edition as the one that is being renewed.
